Discover the Off-Road-Ready Rebel Here!

In 2015, Ram introduced the Rebel trim to the 1500 lineup, giving off-road enthusiasts a truck ready for exploring. While the Ram 1500 has evolved since then, it continues to provide the same off-road chops it was introduced with. Here at Tate Branch Hobbs, we want our customers to be well-informed about the models on our lot. So, without further ado, please continue reading below to learn more about the 2025 Ram 1500 Rebel and what makes it such a spectacular truck!

Engine and Drivetrain of the 2025 Ram 1500 Rebel

The Rebel trim is powered by Ram’s latest addition to its engine lineup, named Hurricane. The all-new standard output Hurricane engine is a 3.0L twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine, serving as a suitable replacement for the outgoing 5.7L HEMI V8. By switching from eight to six cylinders and adding forced air induction courtesy of two low-inertia, twin-scroll turbochargers, the Hurricane engine achieves V8 levels of power output with better fuel efficiency and fewer emissions. While running more efficiently, the Hurricane engine boasts a power output of 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque, up from the V8’s 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. On the Rebel trim, this engine powers a highly capable automatic or part-time four-wheel drive system with a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission.

What Gives the Ram 1500 Rebel its Off-Road Chops?

The 2025 Ram 1500 Rebel’s all-terrain abilities go far beyond what the engine and drivetrain provide. For example, the off-road-tuned suspension system features Bilstein shocks with adaptive damping to provide a smooth, steady ride even while tackling tough terrain. Meanwhile, the raised suspension provides a one-inch lift from the factory for 9.7 inches of ground clearance. This ground clearance is aided by the 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac all-terrain tires with outlined white lettering. Furthermore, the Rebel features a high-strength steel powder-coated front bumper with an integrated skid plate, creating an approach angle optimized for passing over uneven terrain. The four-wheel drive system features five drive modes, including Auto, Off-Road, Sport, Tow, and Snow, as well as Selec-Speed Control. This system is essentially cruise control for off-roading. By setting a speed between 0.6 and 5 MPH, the truck will manage the throttle and brake to maintain that speed so the driver can focus on navigating tough terrain. Finally, the Rebel comes with an electronic rear locker to lock the rear wheels, rotating them at the same speed to maximize traction and keep momentum up.

What is the 2025 Ram 1500 Rebel X?

In the 2025 model year, Ram is celebrating ten years since the Rebel was introduced. Therefore, they created the Rebel X special edition for the 2025 model year only! This commemorative special edition features unique design elements to stand out from the traditional Rebel in celebration of ten years of success. Outside, the Rebel X turns heads with exclusive ‘Rebel X’ badging on the tailgate and front quarter panels. Meanwhile, ‘Rebel X’ graphics can be found on both the hood and rear quarter panels. Inside, you’ll find an exclusive ‘Rebel X’ center console badge. You’ll also find the Rebel X logo embroidered into the front backrests in red. The Rebel X also adds an exclusive center console-mounted shifter, replacing the rotary gear dial.
